People Business Partner

Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Business Partnering
The People Business Partner is accountable for providing expert HR and organisational development support and advice to enable successful execution of business and departmental strategies. By building strong business partnership and relationship with respective business area leaders, the job holder should develop specific HR capability plan to improve employee experience and engagement and HR Governance in supporting the high performing culture.
In addition to the assigned business portfolio, each People Business Partner is responsible for advising and driving improvement in certain assigned HR functions along the employee experience journey by working closely with the business, specialist teams, GBS and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnership and Talent Development
 Develop a strong business partnership and relationship with respective business area leaders, as well as a bridge between CoE, TLA and GBS both informing CoE on strategy design and consulted on implementation activity
 Gain clear understanding of respective business strategies and priorities, and be able to draw on full array of HR disciplines to provide people solutions to meet the business needs
 Equip business leaders with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage and develop their people and provide proactive guidance and counsel on people related issues
 Develop talent and succession plan to build people and organisational capability
 Develop people engagement plan to improve employee experience
 Analyse HR data and metrics to facilitate insight driven discussion on people analytics and trends
 Work with departmental leadership teams to support strategy execution and change management activity
 Support departmental communications activity, in collaboration with the Internal Communications and Engagement Team
 Coach managers and/or employees on people related issues including performance, terminations, career development, team development and talent management
 Act as the subject matter expert for departments across the HR spectrum, involving centres of excellence personnel as required to supplement own support
 Identify HR internal or external resources (CoEs, Global Business Services, consultancies) as required to address business challenges
 Build professional network within and out of responsible BU
- Organisational Effectiveness and Business Improvement
 Provide leadership, expertise and market practice and insights to support organisational design, business planning and change management activities
 Use data and insights to influence thinking and initiate business case on organisational effectiveness improvement
 Actively identify and suggest improvements to relevant processes
 Actively lead/ participate in business projects
 Continue optimizing our ways of working between COE, BP, Shadow HR, Outport, GBS etc.
 Lead and drive improvement initiatives within the business partnering team
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in business, HR, psychology or relevant discipline
- 8+ years’ experience as HR generalist and/or business partnering experience
- Strong business partner experience across multiple client groups and geographies where applicable
- Technical depth in multiple areas of HR
- Experience working with leadership teams to execute business strategy and manage change
- Ability to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy; multi-task in a fast-paced environment; and maintain confidentiality is critical
- Experience working in a matrixed organisation
- Strong analytical skills
- Result oriented
- Strong influencing, consulting and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
