Role Introduction
Reports to: Procurement Manager – Marketing, Content & Inflight Retail
This position will be responsible for the definition and implementation of procurement category strategies for Marketing and Content category (including Marketing & Communications, Loyalty Programs, event sponsorship management, Inflight Entertainment and Content, Customer Relationship and inflight lifestyle retail) and for managing the supplier relationship management process. The role involves management, administration, and supervision of Cathay Pacific marketing, inflight entertainment and content service provider in accordance with established procurement policies.
Responsibilities
- To support the management of all procurement activities at each stage of the process
- Category Management: provide direct inputs into formulating and implementing the procurement category strategy
- Spend Analysis: track, analyse and forecast spend of each supplier in the category
- Market Research: develop an understanding of the supplier market, existing solution offerings, future market trends, product alternatives and new business models. Monitor the supply market that caters to our business needs
- Sourcing: lead end-to-end RFI, RFP, and RFQ process including tender issuance, pricing analysis, vendor proposal evaluation through to deal closure and business award
- Negotiations: engage in commercial and contract negotiations with suppliers in the context of new sourcing campaigns or existing supply agreements
- Supplier Management: establish supplier performance measurements and targets, monitor supplier performance and compliance, and effectively manage relationships to encourage continuous improvements with existing suppliers and business development initiatives with potential new suppliers
- Provide support to the Procurement Manager and carry out any other relevant duties as required
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Business, or another relevant field
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a commercial role with hands-on experience (procurement, and contracting and supplier relationship management)
- Procurement and category management experience is essential
- Experience in managing marketing service provider is a distinct advantage
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law
- Strong negotiation, contracting and supplier / third party management skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong business, commercial and financial acumen
- Analytical, strategic-thinking and innovation-driven
- Ability to deliver results with strong project management skills
- Excellent people skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
