Senior Officer, Sustainability - (220828)
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, development and implementation of the Authority’s waste management initiatives to support achieving the corporate waste management target and drive enhanced waste reduction and recycling across the airport community
- Provide support during the planning and roll out of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Charging Scheme across airport facilities and during subsequent implementation
- Conduct site surveys to support evaluation of implementation of waste management initiatives
- Support the coordination and liaison with internal departments, external consultants, contractors and business partners at the Hong Kong International Airport in relation to the Authority’s waste management initiatives
- Provide support in communicating the Authority’s environmental and sustainability strategies, programmes and initiatives to external stakeholders
- Provide inputs to the Authority’s environmental and sustainability programmes, initiatives and events as needed
Requirements
- Degree in environmental, sustainability or related discipline with at least 3 years’ relevant experience
- Track record in liaison and engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
- Good planning and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- A good team player who is self-disciplined and able to work independently
- Ability to think strategically and practically
- Good command of both spoken and written English & Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred
