Manager, Buildings & Architectural Works

Highlight
Manager, Buildings & Architectural Works - (220442)
This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a project management team including architects, building surveyors, E&M Engineers, site superintendents and Project Administration Officer on alteration and improvement works
- Manage project works and work contracts to ensure all stakeholders' requirements are met
- Ensure effective and efficient project management of multidiscipline works, including overall project planning and logistics arrangements
- Advise stakeholders the relevant statutory requirements for the implementation of alterations and improvement works
- Proactively identify the design and construction interface problems, investigate alternatives with design team, consultants and contractors
- Control the budget of all approved projects and ensure their completion within the pre-set time frame and required good quality
- Report to the management regularly on the works progress
- Work closely with other sections of Technical Services Department including but not limited to architectural team, line maintenance teams and Fault Response Team on handover of completed assets
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Building Studies, Facilities Management, Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 8 years’ relevant working experience in architectural, buildings/infrastructure construction and maintenance works
- Solid experience in project management of building works
- Professional Qualification in Architecture or other related disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies (e.g. HKIA) is required
- Previous experience in transport related building/complex, alteration and addition projects and fit-out works is an advantage
- Proficient in architectural rendering and photoshop software are essential, knowledge in CADD software “MicroStation” and Building Information Modelling is an advantage
