Reports to: GM Finance & Performance
A. Finance strategy
 - Support development and implementation of overall group finance strategy.
B. Finance Business Partnering
 - Support the development of finance business partnering of Cathay Pacific.
 - Develop finance BP framework (budgeting, performance management and etc), and support BP team with the methodology
 - Work with each BP team to facilitate the internal job reallocation and assist in capabilities enhancement
 - Facilitate the overall change management process for people and organization
C. Operatonal efficiency and information system
 - Improve overall finance function efficiency and centralize reporting function.
 - Drive projects in evaluating and identifying the the current operational finance function process improvement opportunities.
 - Lead and support projects of ERP and system integration to reduce the workload manual accounting work from BP team
D. Finance digitalization
 - Realize finance long-term vision by adopting digitalization strategy.
 - Facilitate digitalization initiatives for the finance department with the support of Digital team to leverage innovative technologies including but not limited to RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Blockchain, AI and Data analytics to achieve;
 1. Enhancing performance management platform with data driven and implementation of self-servicing reporting mechanism
 2. Elevating analytics capabilities for finance and business team
 3. Improving value creation activities to the business team
Responsibilities
A. Finance strategy
 - Partner with the GM F&P and CFO to support development, implementation and execution of the CFO Strategy
 - Conduct regular meetings to monitor the progress of finance transformation functional level project execution status
B. Finance Business Partnering
 - Develop the standard BP products such as budgeting, forecasting, cost and profit management, management report analysis and etc.
 - Implement the BP strategies and assess feasibility
 - Support the development of the finance business partners, including:
 1. Work with each BP team to facilitate and assess the internal job reallocation, work together with BP team to change from routine accounting work towards business partnering
 2. Organize periodic training in building up BP teams’ capabilities
 3. Facilitate the overall change management process for people and organization
C. Operational efficiency and information system
 - Identify optimization opportunities in operational finance cycle (E.g. OTC, PTP and etc), work out improvement plan and forge projects to facilitate
 - Acting as PMO for information system (e.g. ERP, EPM, Ancillary system and etc) related finance project. Monitor the overall project status, project objectives, project risks and etc
 - Develop digital training and development programs in conjunction with Digital and TLA to meet identified needs within the Finance Department to drive analytics literacy and adoption in daily process
D. Finance digitalization
 - Work with digital team to develop data-driven analyses; generate insights to optimize analytical products
 - Find opportunities and forge projects to adopt new technology into finance operation (E.g. RPA, AI and etc) so as to improve overall finance operation efficiency
Requirements
- Relevant degree and/or experience in Finance or Business. Professional accounting qualification such as CPA will be required.
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience, project management or PMO experience (managing projects, budget and financial tracking and issue resolution).
- Experience of preparing and reviewing business projects will be required.
- Sound grasp of financial principles of project evaluation and business acumen.

2. Experience developing metrics, KPIs, reporting frameworks, dashboards and the vehicles and change approaches to implement them effectively
3. Experience working on projects deploying design thinking and LEAN methodology
4. Strong project management skills with a proven record of effective scope/time/budget trade-offs
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and influencing skills with high standard of written and spoken English. Strong communication skill to all levels in the organisation and agility to work within a team environment.
- A quick learner with the ability to work independently and be self-motivated and attentive to details.
- Strong analytics and reporting skills in producing reports, documentation and presentations.
- Knowledge of IT technology and IT structure is a plus but not a must.
