Responsibilities
- Regulate the APM train schedule via ATS workstation and to implement contingency mode of operation in case of emergency or service disruptions
- Monitor the APM System status to minimize train delays or stoppage caused by equipment failure or passengers during traffic hours
- Coordinate with APM Maintenance Contractor to provide first line responses to faults, and to resume the APM system to normal operation promptly
- Coordinate with other departments of AA in response to incidents or emergency to ensure the safety of staff and passengers at all times
- Respond to train passengers via the on-board intercom when it is activated, and to deal with the APM passenger related incidents
- Compilation of daily operation log to record incidents or significant events together with their date/time and actions taken, any out of service controls or system affecting operations, workarounds and temporary operating arrangements etc.
- Required to work on shift duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree holder with a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in railway or airport operations
- Higher diploma holder with a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience in railway or airport operations will also be considered.
- A qualified APM Operation Controller with a minimum of 1 year working experience in the monitoring and control of APM trains operation in HKIA
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge in Putonghua is preferred
