Head of Digital, Procurement, Finance & GBA

Reports to: General Manager, Digital
This position will be responsible to:
- Being key lead of digital transformation initiatives across Source-to-Pay end-to-end process, finance operations & Global Business Service (GBS) to lead, develop and advocate the strategic vision for Cathay Pacific Group to drive business performance, operational excellence and productivity through insights derived from data analytics, new & emerging technologies adoption as well as cultural & mindset shift.
- Lead design of overall procurement, finance & GBS digital capabilities & strategy across departments’ applications, digital interfaces, external stakeholders & partnerships to create new channels for collecting real-time, granular and quality operation data collection and delivery of decision-support analytics via interactive interfaces.
- Lead & drive the development of aggregated data & models with single source of truth originating from various systems into Integrated Operational Datahub (IOD) to enable further productivity & efficiency insight discovery
- Establish Centre of Excellence for RPA, create implementation roadmap and share best practices to help business units adopt digital transformation in day-to-day operations
- Promote systematic development of descriptive, predictive and gradually prescriptive analytical models by use of advance statistical methods & algorithms, to enhance the understanding around business processes, operational dependencies and financial implications to generate actionable insight & data-driven decisions
- In particular, this position sees Procurement,Finance and GBS teams as customers and will focus on fostering a close relationship with these business units to drive the use of data analytics and new technologies to deliver a significant impact on business metrics that support their strategic goals.
- Develop business plans, analytics & digital roadmaps and timelines to execute the strategic direction and reporting on key performance metrics.
- Work collaboratively across the organization and with external partners to ensure alignment and efficiency in the planning and evolution of all new technologies (e.g. AI, Chatbot, Machine Learning, IoT, NLP, Blockchain, etc.)

Responsibilities
- Establish business cases and project implementation plans on a rationalized data lake (Integrated Operational Datahub, IOD) with single view of “things” around procurement, finance and GBS.
- Lead digital innovation implantation, including IoT, frontline staff and supplier mobile apps, robotic process automation, optical character recognition, machine learning, artificial intelligence to create new data collection and frontline interactive interface to enable insight generation and delivery of decision-support data and analytics.
- Provide thought leadership on a cross-functional team level, problem framing, hypothesis, analytical model approach and actionable insight identification through collaboration with business units and Analytics Team.
- Work closely with procurement finance & GBS stream to ensure alignment of business strategy against departmental transformation initiatives, digital partnership development and strategic priorities.
- Work with Analytics Team under Digital Stream to share overall transformation roadmap and ensure alignment on data preparation, aggregation techniques, modelling, analysis and visualization would lead to actionable quantitative insight.
Requirements
- University degree in Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in airline customer or commercial roles, with minimum 7 years of managerial experience.
- Solid knowledge and technical understanding in areas such as procurement, finance, shared services operation, lean would be an advantage
- Strong understanding and experience in digital technology and data partnership landscape
- Strong project management skills with proven records of successful end-to-end project implementation
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Ability to inspire, build trust and promote collaboration among internal stakeholders
- Take ownership, resourceful and decisive with excellent influencing and interpersonal skills
