Reports to: Assistant Manager Passenger Scheduling – Short Term
The job holder will be part of the team of can-do, progressive, and thoughtful planners working in the core of the airline business – Planning (PLN), and will interact with different internal and external teams to plan, evaluate, and coordinate the deployment of the company’s aircraft and related resources so as to offer a competitive passenger and cargo network to maximize long-term profitability with short-term optimization where possible.

Responsibilities
- Conduct effective communications with commercial and operational stakeholders to understand the latest market situation and operational needs
- Formulate aircraft employment plans by balancing commercial and operational considerations
- Leverage the planning and scheduling systems to come up with optimal solutions
- Identify and evaluate trade-offs should there are competing requests for the same resources
- Manage the schedule change publication processes
- Assure the schedule plans are regulatory complied and operational feasible
- Handle slot management cautiously and tactically
- Support outport teams in global schedule filing processes
- Conduct commercial evaluations and make sound commercial decisions
- Explore the cost saving opportunities, and execute with organized plans
- Evaluate and plan charter and extra-sector opportunities
- Adjust the flight schedules to cope with operational constraints
- Be sensitive to potential issues and flag for precautionary preparation and contingency planning when necessary
- Maintain various reference databases
- Handle scheduling enquiries with both internal and external parties
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects when necessary
Requirements
- Tertiary education
- Open-minded, strategic, and creative thinker
- Ability to enable change mindset and a pragmatic problem solver with flexible thinking
- Good decision-making and communication skills
- A self-starter with the ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks within defined timelines
- Strong numerical literacy and superior analytical skills
- A confident team player with the ability to work with people at multiple levels and in cross-departmental teams to achieve the best results and implement changes
- High computer literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience in airline commercial and/or operational sector is a definite advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English
