Location: Hong Kong
Reports to: Accounting Services Manager
Candidate will serve as a key member of the accounting services team assisting the Accounting Services Manager in liaising with the business unit on all finance related matters and providing financial analysis and ad hoc support to various BUs. This role contributes to the financial planning and analysis as well as functional finance business partnering functionalities.

Responsibilities
Key areas of accountability (and associated outputs):
Month End Closing
- To ensure accurate month end closing (e.g. review anomalies, prepare accruals/adjustments, use of CC/GL, consider the impact to route contribution report, following up monthly control and monitoring reports, etc).
- Check/clarify, follow up with BUs in case of suspicious error in acceptances and rectify error entries in SAP
Monthly Reports
- Analyse monthly operating results for management review
- Prepare monthly reports (e.g. MRP, level 2 reports, Balance Sheet Review Pack, Monthly Review Meeting Pack, etc.)
Day to Day Financial related matters, including but not limit to
- Ensure accurate record of AP/AR
- Provide support to BUs on SAP P2P and inventory/asset processes
- Provide comments and feedback on relevant SAP processes
- Provide support to BUs in relation to cost monitoring and internal cost control
- Process IATA invoices
- Ad hoc assignments as and when required
Budget/Forecasts
- Capture assumptions from and work out budget figures
- Compile full Budget template
- Provide analysis against comparatives (e.g. exch, volume, price var)
- Upload figures in BPC and ensure accuracy
Annual/Interim
- Prepare relevant schedules (e.g. HKFRS 16 lease info for disclosure) of the Group for interim/annual closing in accordance with Hong Kong Accounting Standards and other statutory requirements
Requirements
Accountant
- A degree holder in Accounting with professional designation in Accountancy preferred
- Recognised CPA / Accountancy qualification is required
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience of which 2 years' experience in supervisory role. Audit experience with recognised audit firms a definite plus
- Strong analytical mind and interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially in Excel
- Experience in using SAP advantageous
- Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese/Chinese
- Able to work under pressure and being flexible when necessary to meet deadlines
- Willing to challenge the status quo and improve work processes
