Assistant Manager, Venture Fund [HKSTP/AMVF/220517]

HKSTP Venture Fund is the corporate venture arm of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation with two funds under management: Early-stage Fund and Growth-stage Fund. While based in Hong Kong, half of our portfolio companies originated outside Hong Kong from Silicon Valley, China, Taiwan and the UK. As a team member of HKSTP Venture Fund, you will work closely with other departments from deal sourcing, due diligence, deal execution, to post-investment portfolio management. You will be able to tap into an ecosystem of great minds and disruptive ideas, and help Science Park identify the best investments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sophisticated financial modeling, valuation and return analysis;
- Handle industry research, due diligence and other associated tasks independently;
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and paper circulars independently;
- Support the management of the invested portfolio;
- Partner with internal parties such as Incubation & Acceleration, Business Development, and external parties such as Universities, Government, co-investors and large corporates for a common goal; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong academic background with a recognized degree, preferably an MBA degree, in Engineering/Science, Finance/Economics or related disciplines;
- With professional qualification such as CFA, CAIA or CPA;
- Minimum 4 – 6 years of experience in direct investment/startup or related fields;
- Experience in the start-up community/technology sector will be a definite advantage;
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines under tight schedule; and
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including in Putonghua).

Commencing position will be commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience and competencies
