Role Introduction

Reports to: Passenger Sales Accounting Manager

Revenue Accounting is a critical area of CX Finance. This role with a fair understanding on the end-to-end process acts as an assistant to the Passenger Sales Manager to support the Company’s sales initiatives and payment strategies.

Responsibilities
- Works closely with departments, outports, business units and external parties (e.g. payment services providers and acquirers) for effective and efficient accounting process and procedures
- Assist in supporting the passenger commercial departments for their sales initiatives (e.g. NDC, Centralized Payment Platform and Multi-Currency Pricing, etc)
- Participate in enablement for setting up various payment options across the Company’s omni-channels to support evolving payment strategies from a finance partnership perspective
- Oversight on credit card chargeback from global/local acquiring banks and preparation of monthly fraud report
- Set up an effective and proper working procedures with an aim to identify deficiencies to prevent credit card fraud
- Provide management with sales data and related analysis reports in order for better management decisions and other statutory purpose
- Monitor monthly closing and support in interim and annual closing for sales reporting
- Participate in testing and design of various system update and IATA initiatives, e.g. IATA EasyPay
- Plan and implement on system enhancement, staff development and training to meet company's operational needs

- Perform ad hoc assignments as and when required
Requirements
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with professional designation in Accountancy
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience of which 2 years' experience in supervisory role. Audit experience with recognized audit firms preferred
- Experience in working in the airline and/or travel industry is a definite plus
- Strong appetite to learn, with an ability & desire to understand the underlying commercial aspects of the relevant business units
- Strong analytical mind and interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially in Excel
- Experience in using SAP advantageous
- Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese/Chinese
- Able to work under pressure and being flexible when necessary to meet deadlines
- Willing to challenge the status quo and improve work processes
