Manager, Safety, Health and Environment [HKSTP/MSHE/220420]
The Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Office supports the HKSTP's mission to accelerate technological innovation and commercialization by promoting a safe and healthy environment and ensuring compliance with laws, regulation, and corporate policies. We work closely with our technology clusters and platforms, project development and facility management teams as well as the community around us to strive for excellence.

The Position
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Safety, Health and Environment. The Manager, Safety, Health and Environment will plan, manage, and implement safety, health and environmental management program for premises of Corporation, including providing regulatory guidance and oversight, technical assistance and consultation, and education and training.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) management systems and initiatives;
- Conduct risk assessment, manage the safety risk register and provide recommendations to mitigate the potential risks associated;
- Provide professional safety guidance and advice in support of the Corporation’s activities across divisions, tenants, contractors, business partners and visitors;
- Conduct routine inspections and internal audits on workplaces, construction sites and contractors’ activities in premises of Corporation with recommendations for improvement;
- Coordinate and attend SHE Sub-committee meetings to review issues, report trends and follow up SHE programs with Sub-committee members;
- Assist in conducting incident investigations where necessary and develop preventive actions relating to injuries, near miss incidents, contractors’ work activities and environmental emergency;
- Organize and conduct training, briefings, seminars, promotion and education of safety, health and environment;
- Perform workplace safety duties such as drinking water quality analysis, indoor air quality measurements and DSE assessments;
- Establish website development and maintain database management system for Safety Office;
- Prepare monthly operational reports and administrate data analysis, publicity & information of the Safety Office;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor. 
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Safety, Health and Environment or related disciplines;
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment, with a minimum of 4 years at supervisory or managerial level;
- Registered Safety Officer is a must and Registered Safety Auditor is preferred;
- Solid experience in safety inspection and auditing with property and facility management or construction projects;
- Formal training in auditing and knowledge in ISO45001 and ISO14001 implementation is preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Commencing position will be commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience and competencies.
