Civil Engineer - (210678)
This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities
- Provide engineering solution, design, planning and implementation for airport projects including Asphalt Resurfacing of Taxiways, Chun Yue Road and Chek Lap Kok South Road Enhancement
- Prepare tender documents and construction drawings
- Coordinate with both internal and external parties to manage the works to ensure that it is conducted in a safe and efficient manner with minimal impact on daily airport operations
- Supervise contractors’ works, identify design and construction issues and liaise with relevant parties to provide effective solution for the projects
- Control expenditures within the approved budget
- Conduct contract administration including review of contractors’ submissions, assessment of contractors’ payment and certification of works completion
- Review the initial taxiway pavement level and carry out pavement level design to rectify the out-of-shape pavement profile, if required
- Perform shift duties including overnight shift as needed

- Degree holder in Civil / Structural Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 6 years’ relevant working experience preferably in design, contract management and site supervision of civil construction projects
- Solid experience in major airfield pavements and/or refurbishment works of infrastructural facilities under a live operating environment is an advantage
- Professional qualification in Civil or other related disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies is required
- Proactive, service oriented and be able to work independently
- Strong communication, coordination, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills
- Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
