Role Introduction
Reports to: Cargo Compliance and DG Manager
The Project Specialist, Sanction Project (Cargo) is a key member of the Cargo Compliance and Dangerous team supporting the planning and delivery of the Sanction project. The job holder will be mainly responsible for the design and implementation support of Sanction Project; collecting, articulating and documenting detailed requirements; designing training materials and conducting training; supporting testing for the Sanction check processes; communicating and rolling out the Sanction check with end-users; executing the cutover plan, supporting the cutover preparation and transition activities.
Responsibilities
- Requirements collection & articulation
 Co-ordinate meetings (through online tools such as MS Teams etc) with HQ relevant cargo teams / Outports, etc. to understand business requirements on Sanction Project
 Collect and document detailed-level requirements from key stakeholders and articulate the requirements to Project team
 Support in project design and development. Support the design of new Sanction check processes
- Project implementation Planning and Preparation
 Support development of project plan with clear milestones and deliverables related to the implementation that enable cargo users to have a clear understanding of project objectives, benefits, systems source, data flow, and future roadmap
 Conduct oversea / web based video training to cargo users (HK/outports) on the new Sanction check processes
 Answer the questions from specific cargo teams related to the Sanction Project
 Manage sanction project with global implementation
- Testing and Quality assurance
 Driving/Supporting relevant Cargo SMEs in preparing and review test cases and scenarios, properly document the testing materials/results working alongside with IT and project team
 Prepare the testing plan and work with internal parties and IT based on the agreed test plan
 Participate in system testing cycle and complete the testing together with the tester resources in a timely & accurate manner
 Follow up on any outstanding issues to ensure the final deliverables meets the original business requirements and users’ acceptance
- Business Rehearsal and Sanction Check Implementation
 Execute the cutover plan, support the cutover preparation and transition activities
 Be part of the support team during the cutover period, monitor and promote the usage
 Identify and closely monitor the business impact during cutover and after the roll-out
 Provide expert support to relevant HQ and outports users on the new Sanction check process after the roll-out
- Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
 Design, compile and distribute management report for measuring the benefits post project delivery
 Participate as a project team member, and provide input and guidance on statistical and operational expertise in the improvement project
 Provide guidance to the investigation on escalate cases
Requirements
- University degree (preferably in related disciplines) with minimum 3 years' working experience related to project management skills
- Excellent business acumen with analytical, planning and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience in cargo project is an advantage
