Role Introduction

Reports to: Sustainable Development Manager
This position advocates for and promotes sustainable development within Cathay Pacific Group. The job holder will support the Sustainable Development Manager to deliver various sustainability initiatives, e.g. waste and plastic reduction, meeting reporting and disclosure requirements, as well as promoting sustainability awareness, understanding, and participation both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Sustainable Development Report: support overall development. Responsible for data collection, verification, and preparation
- Environmental data collection, trend analysis, and internal quarterly report preparation
- Ground carbon emissions: performance tracking and initiatives update
- Compliance & Disclosure: prepare the company’s submission for Hang Sang Sustainability Index, FTSE4Good, GBA Business Sustainability Index
- Prepare for external audit for ISO 14001, Airport Authority HK carbon audit
- Support external engagement with NGOs
- Supervise research projects with universities
- Coordinate and execute SD communications plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or above degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in environmental management, sustainable development, or aviation
- Sound understanding of sustainability and climate change issues, best practices, local and international compliance requirements
- Attention to details. Good with numbers. Strong data analysing skills
- A team player with strong influencing, planning and organising skills
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Knowing Chinese & Mandarin will be a plus
