Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Climate Actions
This position contributes to keeping Cathay Pacific Group’s climate actions on track by collecting and analysing carbon emissions data, keeping track of progress of various climate initaitives, prepare external disclosure and audit related to the Group’s climate change performance, and to support the manager on a wide range of decarbonisation and climate resilient initiatives of the airline group.
Responsibilities
- Prepare carbon emissions, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), carbon offsets, and related data for quarterly and annual SD reporting
- Support and prepare annual climate change disclosure and submission, including but not limited to CORSIA, EU ETS, UK ETS, CDP
- Conduct external audits related to carbon emissions data, SAF data, carbon offset data
- Conduct SAF research, update internal database
- Support the development and promotion of corporate SAF programme and other SAF initiatives
- Support on Scope 3 emissions mapping, subsequent action plan development, and follow-up on initaitives
- Support the periodic update of internal carbon model
- Update climate risk action plan registry
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or above degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in sustainable development, climate actions, carbon reduction, or aviation
- Sound understanding of sustainability and climate change issues, best practices, local and international compliance requirements
- Attention to details. Good with numbers. Strong data analysing skills
- A team player with strong influencing, planning and organising skills
- Must be flurent in spoken and written English. Knowing Chinese & Mandarin will be a plus
