Manager, Biomedical Technology Cluster (IncuBio) – Focus on Research Institutes Connection [HKSTP/MBMTCIRIC/211214]
Responsibilities
- Build deep connection with the research institutes in terms of facilitating the spin-off biotech startup companies;
- Pro-actively out-reach and explore opportunity with the principle investigators and develop projects that potentially spin-off as startup;
- Perform due diligence of the startups to fit in the pipelines for the biotech incubation program (IncuBio) as well as business development and support the growth to further establish HKSTP as innovative biotech hub for startup in the region; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Phil. or above in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines with active participation in R&D projects research;
- Good track record in project management and commercialization of healthcare products;
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience, solid exposure in due diligence in healthcare company is highly preferable;
- Demonstrate good network and connection to research institute is a plus;
- Proactive, outgoing and positive attitude with ability to develop effective relationship, self- motivated and results oriented;
- Good team player with strong sense of responsibility;
- Strong organization, analyzing and planning capability;
- Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills in English and Cantonese, fluency in Mandarin will be an advantage;
- Candidate with less experience will be considered for Assistant Manager.
