Engineering’s ambition is to be one of the world’s highest performing, customer centric and progressive engineering teams and the role of Inventory Controller (Operations & Logistics) is to be responsible for inventory and logistics support of line & base maintenance and outstation aircraft material provisioning activities. The role requires supplier performance management, cost management and project management.
Responsibilities
-Coordinating the aircraft material and tooling readiness for planned tasks prior to the aircraft input and resolving the daily ad-hoc material shortages for maintenance activities in HKG and outstations.
-Delivering operational excellence by driving down spares shortages for cabin and technical defects, providing timely update on spares status for line and base maintenance tasks, and initiating the most cost effective and quickest means of material replacement options at operations.
-Initiating and applying LEAN skills to streamline daily operational processes.
-Controlling cost and budget of LM and BM material expenses as well as shipping expenses.
-Managing supplier performance based on the quantifiable data and striving for improvement plan.
-Providing analytics data to the Direct Manager to maximise cost opportunities.
-Supporting vendor selection and commercial negotiation process.
-Supporting shift duty if required.
Requirements
-Minimum 4 years' experience in aviation, supply chain or engineering industry.
-Degree in Engineering/Aerospace or Logistics discipline or other engineering field. Alternatively, other relevant qualifications, combined with practical experience in material or supply chain management.
-Strong analytical skills and process-oriented. Accurate and thorough.
-Good commercial and financial awareness and acumen.
-Strong in communication skills.
-Ability to manage suppliers effectively.
-Drive for excellence.
-Adaptable and responsive to change.
