Highlight
The IT Practice Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing the overall IT practices across all IT disciplines within our organisation, collaborating with respective IT practice owners and IT Practice leads in the IT teams to ensure alignment, integration, and continuous improvement of practices.

In addition, this position will act as Practice owner of the SDLC and Agile solution delivery, drive improvements in productivity and project quality, act as a principal Agile coach, and oversee the IT capability uplift programme.

Reporting to the Head of Digital and IT Strategy and Planning, this role supports change programme formulation, communications, and implementation in the IT Practice area to meet digital leadership strategy and business objectives.
Responsibilities
Practice of Practice
-Collaborate with IT practice owners in different IT teams to establish and improve overall IT practices
-Ensure alignment and integration across practices, promoting synergy and best practices. Lead and build a community of practices within the organisation.
-Continuously improve practice frameworks, processes, and toolsets to promote knowledge sharing of IT best practices and business knowledge.
-Ensure that new and existing employees, contractors, and vendors have the necessary skills to employ IT practices and utilise the specified standards and toolsets.
-Facilitate collaboration and learning among IT practitioners to enhance their overall capabilities.

Ownership of Agile Solution Delivery Practice
-Own and continually improve the Agile delivery team operating model and practices to improve agility in delivery, time-to-market and quality. Responsible for the design, implementation of Agile team operating model principles, terminology, practices and governance to be used across the IT teams. Identify and mitigate challenges for adoption at IT, from both process and people side of change perspectives.
-Develop and own the Agile coaching engagement model for IT teams. Lead and enable Agile practice champions to promote practices and obtain feedback for continuous improvement.
-Serve as the principal Agile coach for IT solution delivery. Offer training/ coaching to Agile teams, or coordinate such training/coaching with external vendor based on the scale and scope of the team/ initiatives.
-Provide guidance and standards on using Agile initiatives management tool and support for the system change and upgrade.

Ownership of the Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
-Own and continually improve the Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) for Transform Projects/ Grow initiatives with a focus on improving productivity and project quality. Work closely with internal IT teams to ensure changes are adopted and synergies with other IT SDLCs are obtained.

IT Project Management and Governance
-Work closely with the Group Tranformation Office to ensure integration and alignment on overall project management practices.
-Execute an appropriate level of governance on IT Major Projects throughout the SDLC. Perform project health checks as needed, and continually facilitate the sharing of project lessons learned. Work closely with other internal IT governance teams.

IT Capability Uplift Programme
-Oversee the IT capability uplift programme, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
-Collaborate with IT team managers and IT Practice owners on IT training needs analysis and budget allocation for skill development. Facilitate collaboration among different communities of practice.
-Organize and provide common learning opportunities to enhance IT technical capabilities.
-Establish and continue to improve practices for organising and managing training for individual IT practices.

Change Management
-Own and drive initiatives that will improve internal IT processes in the IT Practice area to meet digital leadership strategy and business objectives.
-Drive an effective business change management strategy (including communications and training/briefing) to support changes to processes, standards and tools.
Requirements
-University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
-Minimum of 12 years of IT experience with 2 years of management experience
-Extensive experience in IT practices and methodologies, including SDLC and Agile
-A strong understanding of project management principles and practices
-Proven experience as an Agile coach or Scrum Master.
Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) is desirable.
-Demonstrable leadership skills and high ability to influence without authority throughout the organisation leveraging on strong interpersonal skillset
-Sound stakeholder management and communication skills to collaborate effectively with IT teams
-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
-Ability to drive change, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
-Has a working knowledge of LEAN approach, techniques and principles.
-Has a working knowledge of change management approaches and activities.
-Experience in building and leading communities of practices is a plus.
