Role Introduction
Reports to: Digital Experience Manager – Mobile App
This role will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain the Cathay Pacific Travel App. The position will involve a variety of activities including product development, performance, content management and customer support. Using data and insights, along with inspiration from the latest technologies and trends, you will help build rich experiences that customers love alongside helping to drive an exciting new vision and roadmap for the App.
Responsibilities
- Researching ideas and trends to inspire development of new Mobile App features.
- Liasing with other business units to gather requirements around new Mobile App features
- Partnering closely with the CED Self Service team to continuously improve the backend engines that power Mobile App services.
- Driving a strong focus around quality; testing new Mobile App features and with consideration for a wide range of scenarios and edge-cases.
- Managing Mobile App content through an enterprise content management system.
- Analysing Mobile App performance, helping to test hypotheses and uncover insights that support continuous product improvement.
- Analysing customer feedback, working with IT, customer support teams and other business units investigation bugs and incidents.
Requirements
- Degree holder with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ideally the candidate would have experience supporting product development of rich mobile applications.
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of core UX/UI design principles.
- Basic understanding of Agile development methodology.
- Experience liasing between business and technical teams.
- Ability to interpret and analyse data, generating insights and trends to support decision making.
- Any startup experience is a plus (e.g. founding a startup, working with a startup incubator, active participation in the startup community etc).
