Overall purpose of the job
The Content Writer/ Editor is responsible for creating professional communications materials for fundraising, marketing and/or supporters’ retention purpose; managing the quality of content with the goal of raising Greenpeace East Asia’s profile and fundraising income to achieve its campaign and fundraising objectives, and ensuring our stories resonate among various audiences.
Scope
The Content Writer/Editor will help ensure all content created by them will have a consistent organisational identity and messaging as well as engage supporters in compelling storytelling across the various content materials produced by the Fundraising & Engagement department.
Responsibilities
- Create professional, engaging and creative content for Greenpeace East Asia’s website to communicate our vision, values and campaigns.
- Write and edit supporter communications, public outreach and fundraising materials including but not limited to offline and online publications, donor appeals, e-newsletters and web features.
- Ensure that Greenpeace’s communications materials are accurate, professional, engaging and adhere to organizational image.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with a pool of freelance translators and editors.
- Ensure communication strategies, tactics and messages are reflected in all communications materials released, working closely with the Fundraising & Engagement Team and Communications team to ensure coherence of public messaging and strategy.
