Highlight
The incumbent will liaise and monitor closely with caterers for the compliance of airline operational requirements. He/she is required to The position is responsible for managing catering equipment including cabin linen provisioning cost to meet passenger demand, inflight service needs and control under budget expenses. The job holder will work with the Customer Experience – Dining and Hospitality Team to develop new catering equipment including cabin linen, to lead equipment launch and revamp projects; and to enhance equipment to smooth better service delivery.
The role is accountable for formulating policies and procedures on equipment operation, handling, logistics, inventory management and galley planning. He/she will ensure safety and security of all equipment uplift meets Cathay Pacific(CX) and international standards set. He/she will also ensure all requirements of Cathay Pacific(CX) and Inflight Services Delivery (ISD) internal quality assurance program are adhered to.
work closely with other internal parties for equipment enhancement and fine tuning, and to ensure airlines operational requirements can be delivered thoroughly by caterers.
He/she will ensure all agreements, contract and legal documents with suppliers are in line with the company requirements and standards.
Responsibilities
-Engage with all concerned teams that the integrity of Cathay Pacific (CX) cabin safety policies and procedures in respect to in-flight catering concepts are maintained at all times.
-Fully support ISD quality and safety outcomes including implementation and monitoring of the relevant safety and quality activities and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards and approved procedures.
-Oversee equipment development, procurement, implementation, and replenishment. Validate invoices.
-Control and oversee equipment, logistics (including wine), linen and laundry budget.
-Formulate strategy, policy, and procedures in equipment provisioning.
-Liaise with Commercial Store on warehousing space monitoring and inventory control.
-Manage inventory, logistics (including amenities and wine) and equipment-related projects and re-engineering initiatives.
-Oversee day-to-day operations from caterers and disruption monitoring activities to ensure catering supplies in the events of any flight change or service disruptions as well as safety & security awareness.
-Manage and control all galley packing uplift details to ensure inflight services can be carried out smoothly.
-Assist and support new caterer start up or change over
-Responsible for contingency planning and support for ad hoc disruption.
-Support Customer Experience – Dining and Hospitality team on equipment development related projects.
-Lead, plan or engage in operations related projects, e.g. GTO
-Support CED and lead, plan galley packing, inventory& equipment related projects.
-Review and answer crew feedback, passengers’ feedback, CRD, SRMP and management enquires.
Issue notices to relevant parties such as Crew Weekly, NTBP and NTCC when required.
-Update manuals such as COM, PPM, SEM & ISD OPS when required.
-Lead galley optimization programs ensuring galley packing and operation standards.
-As CCE “Plan Admin” for Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
Requirements
-University education in hotel & catering management, business administration or related disciplines.
-A minimum of +7 years' relevant working experience in airline industry (preferably 4 years in catering operations planning, logistics and project management).
-Strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, spoken mandarin an advantageous.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Computer and Microsoft Office literacy.
-Strong People and project management as well as supervisory.
-Strong leadership skill to lead a team to set goal, provide direction, and drive the team towards the achievement of the desired business results.
-Strong Change management skills and good problem solving.
-Good analytical skills.
-Relevant skills in cost and budget, procurement and negotiations, inventory planning and management, galley loading planning, operations planning.
