Highlight
To lead the drive for talent acquisition and employee engagement across the Krakow Hub and be the local point of contact on all Human Resources processes, policies and practices for the Hub team.
The role has responsibility for all day-to-day people processes and enquiries and is a key local advisor to the Hub Manager and line managers and is supported by experts in the regional team to develop and deliver the people strategy relevant to each country.
Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection Process Excellence
-Manage the entire recruitment and selection processes
-Be the expert in a wide variety of recruitment approaches and processes
-Effectively prioritise different roles and ensure that time to fill is measured and optimised
-Design and conduct interview and group assessment centres
-Be the expert in local legislation regarding recruitment and selection processes
Local People Expertise and Processes
-Provide a reliable and approachable point of contact for Human Resource queries
-Act as a contact point for employee committee relationships on a day to day level
-Conduct committee meetings to support key objectives of employee and company working groups
-Ensure that Cathay people processes are conducted in an accurate and customer focussed manner
-Ensure that all people processes are conducted in a compliant manner
-Ensure key processes such as timekeeping, leave and attendance, payroll and related administration are done in an effective manner
-Provide input on local legal requirements or industrial circumstances to the regional team
-Assist in the preparation of annual staff budgets and remuneration review processes
People Engagement
-Work with the Hub Manager to initiate local communications and engagement initiatives
-Work with the global engagement teams and community to suggest ideas and best practices and provide feedback on how global initiatives fit into local context
-Drive Work Well Done campaigns as well as develop local recognition programmes
-Promote and nurture a customer service mind-set and cultu
-Provide in country people support
-Provide advice and support to Hub managers on day to day people issues and concerns
-Act as a point for reporting people issues which are raised in country
-Support the Hub Manager to create a positive and supportive culture
-Provide immediate and hands-on support to people issues that emerge and escalate to regional team
-Respond as first point of contact to any business risks, business continuity or Emergency and Accident people response requirements
-Support Hub management team with any other initiatives or task as reasonably requested
Execution of Global and Regional Initiatives
-Activate and execute local programmes to drive engagement, performance culture, training, reward, recognition to help nurture the Cathay culture
-Communicate key people policy changes/programmes to the local team with relevant local context
-Provide valued local input on design & development of programmes via the regional team
-Provide detailed feedback on global initiatives and how they are working in the local context
-Work with the Regional Engagement, Development and Performance Manager to understand and implement regional and global people strategies
People Development and Performance Management
-Lead, support and encourage own team to achieve success
-Build a strong and motivated team
-Supervise and mentor direct reports

Requirements
Academic qualifications
-Degree in Human Resources or related discipline (preferred)
Knowledge, skills, training and experience
-4+years of Recruitment / HR experience
-Strong attention to detail
-Good communicator
-Ability to handle conflict and mediate to achieve a timely and positive outcome
-Has an approachable and open style of communication
-Practical knowledge of Human Resource compliance and processes
-Collaborative and works well with remote teams
-Proactive and energetic
-High levels of integrity, trusted and able to exercise discretion
